About Me
Kate Stalter, CFP®
I bring three things to every client relationship: The technical grounding of a CFP®, the insights of a tax preparer and the market fluency of a financial journalist who spent years analyzing strategy for TheStreet, U.S. News, Forbes, and Investor’s Business Daily.
That combination means your plan is grounded in market knowledge, explained in plain language, not just a set of assumptions.
I built and ran my own financial advisory firm before founding Retirement Planning Studio. I’m also a tax preparer and an expert columnist on annuities for Retirement Guide and Annuity.org, so I can bring investment, tax, and annuity insight together in one place.
I’m based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I work with clients nationwide. Outside of work, I play pickleball, work out at OrangeTheory, cheer for the Buffalo Bills and enjoy hiking in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains.
When you work with me, you’re getting more than plan design; you’re getting years of stock-and-bond market analysis built directly into your strategy.
Before becoming a Certified Financial Planner®, I analyzed stocks, ETFs, dividend strategies, and portfolio construction as a financial journalist for TheStreet, U.S. News, Forbes and Investor’s Business Daily.
I bring that analytical depth to my clients. It’s part of how I evaluate every recommendation I make for you.
As a CFP®, I turn that analysis and recommendations into a plan built around your actual numbers, explained clearly enough that you understand exactly why it works.
I’m also a tax preparer. Your investment and tax questions get handled by one person who sees the whole picture, not different advisors giving you three partial answers.
